veng' a mirar questi dolenti lumi
ch'egli hà convers' in riv'e'n font'e'n fiumi.
E questi fiumi ha poi convers'in fiamme,
O gran poter d'Amor, d'un chiuso loco
far sorger acqua e d'acqua poi far foco.
