Template failed

The ExtWeb template has failed to work on Para el mas glorioso triunfo (José de Torres). Not sure what is going on. -- Chucktalk Giffen 16:25, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

It also has failed on Gaude virgo mater Christi (Edmund Sturton). -- Chucktalk Giffen 18:01, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
This has to do with the web address interacting with the MediaWiki braces, I think. I have devised a workaround, but it doesn't look good, and would be difficult to implement. I think I need to write code for this template.
By the way, a blank line is no longer needed after ExtWeb nor after EdNotes. — Barry Johnston (talk) 19:23, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
This problem is related to links that contain an equal sign: when such links are passed as parameter to a template, it considers everything before the = as a named parameter, messing the output. More details on my talk page. —Carlos (talk) 02:47, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
