Let’s off for a jolly good game of ball,
That’s the game that is loved by all;
It trains the eye, the hand the brain,
And brings new life to us all again.

Baseball, baseball,
The great American game,
Baseball, baseball,
The path that leads to fame;
Throw the ball with a light’ning speed,
Biff it hard and then take a lead;
If health and strength we all have need,
Come all and play the game.

We’ll curve the ball with a wondrous skill,
Catch high flies with a right good will;
And swing the bat with might and main,
And bases run with the speed of train.

The umpire’s word shall be law to all,
Play shall tally that plays the ball;
For honor, skill and sport’s our aim,
And nothing goes that will bring us shame.
