Latin text Da mihi Domine in omni tribulatione consilium rectum. De preteritis in omni tempore veniam. De presentibus emendationem. De futuris quoque largire custodiam et felicem conservationem.

German translation Gib mir, Herr, in aller Not den rechten Rat. Für die Vergangenheit (gib) auf alle Zeit Vergebung. Für die Gegenwart (gib) Besserung. Für die Zukunft auch schenke Schutz und glückvolle Errettung.

English translation Lord, advise me rightly in times of travail. Forgive me for ever what is past. In the present, help me to mend my ways. For the future, protect and save me, so that all may be well.
