1. God of eager conversation,
ever wooing us to prayer
as the primal loving parent
close beside with tender care,
though we leap into a mystery,
still we recognize you there.

2. Energizing life within us,
feeding us essential bread,
reconciling life among us,
tracing mercy's common thread,
orchestrating life beyond us
so the Realm of Life is spread.

3. God of lavish affirmation,
"Seek," you say, and we shall find,
so we seek and in the seeking
see the depths of love's design:
you in us and with us working,
God and human heart aligned.
