Evening serenely is closing again;
Soft winds are sighing, birds homeward :lying,
Lonely are valley, and mountain, and plain.

Out on the ocean, gently in motion,
Catching the light airs that gratefully play.
Vessels are swimming, swallows are skimming,
All things are bidding “Good night to the day.”
