I would stand still and offer shade, a place to rest.
"Come, come to me." I would tell you.
"I invite you to be. Be who you are. Be there with me."
There would be time to listen,
there would be time to be friends,
try close your eyes and feel the sound of holding hands.
If I were a tree, a calm tree.
