Description: The Missa de Dringhs is a parody mass, based on the composer's own secular chanson Tous les regretz. The title of the mass, however, has never been satisfactorily explained. Perhaps the original tune used the word "Dringhs" in it, or perhaps there is some secret hidden within. Glareanus (1488 – 1563), the famous theorist, refers to the mass, spelling the title in Greek characters. Besides this, however, there is no explanation as to why it is called Dringhs.
