Ride out on wings of song,
Oh! stifled soul of me;
With joyous shout, glad acclaim,
Send forth thy minstrelsy.
Sing for the joy of life,
Sing for its dark grief too;
Sunshine and shadow must come,
Joyous song will re-new.
Touch my lips, magic wand,
And clouds will flee away;
The singing soul wins in life,
As singing men, the fray.
Windows in this house of mine
Gleam with light, open wide,
That my spirit, radiant free,
May, on wings of song, ride.
