Hebrew text הִנֵּ֣ה הָעַלְמָ֗ה הָרָה֙ וְיֹלֶ֣דֶת בֵּ֔ן וְקָרָ֥את שְׁמ֖וֹ עִמָּ֥נוּ אֵֽל (Isaiah 9:6b)

Greek translation Ἰδοὺ , ἡ παρθένος ἐν γαστρὶ ἕξει , καὶ τέξεται υἱόν , καὶ καλέσουσιν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἐμμανουήλ (ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον , Μεθ’ ἡμῶν ὁ Θεός .) (Matthew 1:23)

Latin translation Ecce virgo concipiet et pariet filium et vocabitur nomen eius Emmanuel. [Alleluia.]

Dutch translation Zie, de maagd zal ontvangen en een zoon baren en hij zal genoemd worden: God-met-ons. [Alleluia.]

English translation Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel, [God with us. Alleluia.]

Variant 1 The Trent 88 version begins in second person: Ecce virgo concipies et paries… "Behold, you shall conceive as a virgin and bear…"
