Source of text is Psalm 29:2-3 (Vulgate). The Gradual (Wednesday after Passion Sunday and OT 10 C) adds verse 4 as in Lasso's 6-part motet; the modern Graduale's translation however reads "Domine abstraxist ab inferis…"

Text and translations

Latin text 29:2  Exaltabo te Domine, quoniam suscepisti me nec delectasti inimicos meos super me. 29:3  Domine clamavi ad te et sanasti me.

English translation 30:1  I will magnify thee, O Lord, for thou hast set me up: and not made my foes to triumph over me. 30:2  O Lord my God, I cried unto thee: and thou hast healed me.

Hungarian translation Magasztallak téged, Uram, mert fölemeltél engem, és nem hagytad örülni ellenségeimet fölöttem. Uram, Istenem, hozzád kiáltottam és meggyógyítottál engem.
