How do I add Lamentationes Hieremiae Prophetae (quatuor vocum) (Orlando di Lasso) to the list of settings? Cpupton (talk) 22:51, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

It is already appearing in the list, it just takes some time. —Carlos (talk) 00:53, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

Translation of the Vulgate in English

The translation (RSV) does not correspond to the Vulgate in two places: Chapter 1 verse 6 - Vulgate has rams (arietes) not harts (cervi). Likewise at Chapter 1 verse 12 the Vulgate has "like my sorrow; for the Lord has pressed me like the grape, as he said he would on the day of his furious rage", not at all the reading of RSV. I think the text should reflect the Latin and not the modern Bible... --Hicks 08:06, 26 March 2015

Agree with Hicks on this. —Carlos Email.gif 19:03, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
Yes, all the hosted settings are in Latin, so the translation should be of that rather than the underlying Hebrew. (Pending the entry into the public domain of Bairstow, whose text is I think AV not RSV, and a sufficiently eclectic selection of verses that it may be best set up separately on the work page when it does arise anyway.)
