The text is an amalgamation of an antiphon and excerpts from Matth 16, 19 & 18.

Latin text Tu es pastor ovium, princeps apostolorum, tibi traditae sunt claves regni caelorum. Quodcumque ligaveris super terram erit ligatum et in caelis et quodcumque solveris super terram erit solutum et in caelis. Petre, díligis me? Qui respondit: Tu scis, Domine, quia amo te, et animam meam pono pro te. Et dixit ei Jesus: Quia tu es Petrus, et super hanc petram ædificabo ecclesiam meam.

German translation Du bist der Hirte der Schafe, der Erste der Apostel, dir wurden die Schlüssel des Himmelreichs übergeben. Was du auf Erden binden wirst, soll auch im Himmel gebunden sein, und was du auf Erden lösen wirst, soll auch im Himmel gelöst sein. Wenn du mich liebst, Petrus, liebst du mich? Er antwortete: Du weißt, Herr, dass ich dich liebe, und mein Leben gebe für dich. Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Da du Petrus bist, will ich auf diesen Stein meine Kirche bauen.

English translation You are the shepherdof the flock, the first of the apostles, to you are given the keys of the heavenly reign. Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Peter, lovest thou me? He answered: Thou knowest, Lord, that I love thee, and lay down my life for thee. And Jesus said to him: And I say also unto thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church.
