Die arge Welt
hat sich gestelt,
wer nit hat Gelt,
nie mand gefellt.
O weh, der argen Welt.
Die beste Kunst
ist all Umbsunst,
behelt kein Gunst,
Gelt, Macht die Brunst.
O Schad der guten Kunst.
Wann gleich einr wer
von Tugend schwer,
hülff in nit sehr,
Gelt bringt die Ehr.
O Schad der Tugend schwer.
Welt und Gelt hin,
bhalt kein Gewinn,
es steht mein sin
der Tugend in.
O Welt, ich fahr dahin.
