Vineam meam non custodivi.
Indica mihi quem diligit anima mea,
ubi pascas,
ubi cubes in meridie,
ne vagari incipiam
post greges sodalium tuorum.

English translation

My vineyard I have not kept.
Tell me, you whom my soul loves,
where you pasture your flock,
where you make it lie down at noon,
lest I begin to wander
after the flocks of your companions.

Dutch translation

Mijn eigen wijngaard heb ik niet bewaakt…
Zeg mij, van wie ik zielsveel hou,
waar jij je kudde laat grazen,
waar je die ’s middags laat rusten,
zodat ik niet hoef te gaan dwalen
achter de kuddes van je makkers.
