Italian text Ecco ch'io lass'il core A chi nutrisce il suo del mio dolore. Deh come vivrò io Lungi d'ogni ben mio? Dunque morrom-mi, e perché chi m'annoia Viva della mia mort'in maggior gioia.

English translation Here I give my heart to one who feeds hers on my sorrow. Alas, how will I live far from my treasure? Therefore I will die, so that the one who tortures me can live in greater joy because of my death. Translation by Ruth I. DeFord
